Es lógico sentir tensión muscular en la parte inferior del abdomen al realizar ejercicios de flexión coxo-femoral, ya que el abdomen se suma a la acción del psoas para fijar la pelvis.
En la actualidad dicha dicotomia abdominales inferiores y superiores ha sido rechazada ya que se ha podido establecer con estudios electromiográficos que no es posible dicha diferenciación.
